I am trying to replace the top vertical shaft bearing on my Cobra 4 system.(I have previously replaced the ones for the horizontal pinion).Do any of you good folk have experience in the method for extracting said top bearing located under the quadrant? The old bearing is stamped BM3 HP5 6206RS. Any ideas please would be welcome!

Not easy, I believe. Some crown segments have a bolt in the middle and a vertical "pin" against the shaft. You may be able to get these off and lower the shaft sufficiently to remove the bearing, taking care to disconnect at the lever arm below pedastel. However later models have the crown segment held on by 2 horizontal "pins" and then, if I understand correctly, you have to remove the whole pedastel and dismantle from the bottom-don't know how. As said above winchservicing is the place to go for far better advice than mine!
