You mean Whitehaven - Whitsunday Islands /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

In which case it's definitely one of the nicest cruising grounds in the world

Lovely place - went quite a lot on my mates boat out of Fleetwood. Easy to get in and out, very friendly marina staff, easy access to town, handy Tescos, and they've spent a lot of money on the waterfront.

Just go - you wont regret it.

and from Whitehaven, it's a nice day sail to Kircudbright, which is also well worth a visit.

Don't know much about sailing there but stand on St Bees head by the lighthouse on a (rare) clear & sunny day & the whole area Solway - IOM looks fabulous. Looked around the marina a couple of times - very nice too - but its such a long long way to go ....

ps pubs in Kirki much fun on a Sat. night /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
