If it's water from the outside then dubbin works OK. If it's sweat then maybe a plastic bag over your socks?

I just ignore mine... or get them wet again, then it disappears.

A 'discussion' I had with musto some time ago, revolved around their statement, that you should wash your deckshoes in fresh water, after each use.

White wine vinegar should get the stains out then you can apply the dubbin as mentioned earlier - your tootsies are not 'arf gonna pen & ink mate...

Saddle soap should do the trick. It is a risk of the hobby, things get marked, covered in oil, dunked in sea water and tea slopped over them.

Just buy decent none poncy ones to start with that don't require mambe pambe treatment
