were still in your bed, the world around Cowes was teeming, by the time you were up for breakfast, I was considering afternoon tea! I headed off from the Hamble at 03.00 this morning to rendezvous with my "fare" for the day. He got most of the shots, well that what he was there for, but I did manage to get a few myself.

Weather was very fickle which led to some difficult times. I finished after 10 hours - enough was enough and I had traveled just over 100 nautical miles a from The Needles to Ryde and used 143 liters of petrol! It was a long day! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I had already checked the boat out before you were out of your bunk and made you coffee! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I count leaving the Hamble as leaving the berth after all it takes a good half hour to get to the end of the river. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Didn't get up as early as you guys, but did come up past the forts with these guys:

Was about 9:30am, so I guess they finished sometime around 10:30ish or shortly after. Anyone know where they came if indeed they were racing (though looked like it)?

These boys didn't hang around very long either:

That first shot is awesome - looks like an oil painting.

Incredible shot that, must be worth entering the 'foto-comp' with it, I also liked the pic looking through the Needles.

Funny ol' day on the weather eh? Got drowned heading round to Portsmouth.
