Got a Leaky capping on a bay window. Materials are lead flashing, uPVC window and brick and cement border. Silicon has failed miserably, pulling away and splitting with thermal movement

Fancy trying Sikaflex but there are so many numbers and variants I confess to complete confusion. any advice out there? The sika website seems to be orientated to commercial users and doesn't help much

Thanks

I cannot help with the Sikaflex although you could splash the cash and use the marine one .... Sikaflex 291 ..

Or simply use one of the roof and gutter sealants from Screwfix

Sika 11FC is pretty good. A polyeurethane mastic/glue, sticks to most things. Doesn't mind a bit of damp when applied. Costs around €5.50 a tube here.
One of its stated uses is to stick Roman roof tiles together. Pretty good reccomendation.
I use it for that and other mixed media joints.

+I, I use a lot of this, the FC stands for fast cureing (15 minutes in warm conditions.

Just make sure the area is clean.

Tip:
Pop into K-mart and picj a white plastic kitchen spatular, it makes a grat application tool.

Good luck and fair winds. :)
