I think you need to consider use and whether you want one or two engines, speed you want etc. From what I can gather old legs are a worry, do you want two of them?

The single engine Volvo looks possibly like a 40A from the picture ie. it has the square heater exchanger.This would probably be a 130 HP engine when new.
You need to be very careful about the condition of the outdrives. At that age they were very subject to folks not spending money on servicing with predicable results.Second hand or refurbished unit could cost in the region of 2000 pounds by the time you have taken lifting out and labour costs into account.
Bear in mind many yards will not offically allow livaboards, a boat actually able to move under its own stream can sometimes be overlooked in this regard.
If you want to know the problems that can come with any outdrive and WILL come with old ones just use the forum search engine.:)

From Caley boats it is more than possible ex hire fleet.
We hired a Princess 32 from there many years ago to do the Caledonian Canal, good boat in general, but dreadfull condensation.
