Which rule covers an error after correct race results were published when a trophy is awarded to the wrong boat? Rule 90.3(C)?

I think it's not that clear...

some events allow you to file a scoring inquiry - which i think goes to the scorers..., but the RRS don't mention a scoring inquiry, so it's not clear who it should go to, or what status it has.

but i guess if the scorer changed the results, it would be 90.3 C

alternatively, you could file a request for redress, in which case, the request would be heard by the protest committee, and they might direct the scorer to change the results, in which case it would be 90.3 D

some have suggested that a scoring inquiry has the same status as a redress request.

but there is often a time limit...

Results were accurate and published. The mistake was made in listing trophies to be awarded.

i see...

still, i think, officially, the procedure would be the same.

but can't it be handled unofficially, even if there was a time limit?

who would want a trophy as a result of that kind of error?

I am sure it will be sorted informally, but just wondered about how things would work out formally. The trophy is huge and very old and I won it last year in a different boat.

It was most likely a simple error - mixing up of two trophies sailed for on the same day.
