Not sure on exact boat height but I had a Fairline Turbo 36 on the Thames and with radar arch down that would go up to Abingdon at least.
Crunch points are Eton bridge at Windsor and Cookham lock cut foot bridge. Henley bridge can be awkward because it is quite heavily arched, so height at edge of flybridge is relevant.

You should be able to fit up the severn as well (water draft might be more a problem if you draw more than 4 foot..)

Here is some <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.waterscape.com/waterwaysguide/waterways/River_Severn_Navigation/River_Severn_Navigation.html> information </A> for you

Hope you find it usefull

If you give Her full beans from tick over you can gain an extra foot. I have to do this quite often under Bursledon bridge or have to wait hours for the double springs. Also I have done this down at Weymouth but its not for the faint harted. Dave.

There was a really bad accident at Henly bridge a couple of weeks back I think the boat was an ardvark or something 47-49 ft apparently it went under the middle arch and the radar arch caught the bridge and came down onto flybridge ripping of screen and trapping a woman sitting at back of fly.

Air ambulance were called fire brigade had to cut out. The boat is moored just downstream from Phyllis Court.

On talking to a lock keeper last weekend he informed that the woman had escaped with a chipped bone at the back of her neck

Very lucky she is if thats true, the boat looks a write off.

So at all times on the Thames have to be very aware of the height cos sometimes it carries more water so height changes.

I think write-off may be a little strong.
New radar arch and windscreen and a little fire damage in engine room.
