We've had our Aquair 100 for a little while now, however only used it in towed mode, as that's the main reason we got it.

The last few days has seen us sitting in a Greek harbour with no shore power and gloomy, wet and windy weather. Solar panels have done bugger all and battery charge has been dwindling.

Then I thought, "Hmm, why not hoist the Aquair? We have that HIR kit, after all..."

But the manual says we should use a regulator in wind mode. The Ampair supplied ones are eye wateringly expensive. I've had a quick look on eBay, but most of the ones one their seem to be for AC supplying wind gennies?

So, anyone with experience can recommend a suitable regulator?

No regulator required

you want all those loverly Amps you can get

Having said that. if you are going to leave boat for a few days with the Gen on then a reg would be a good idea

Agree with previous post.

We were advised by the manufacturer that a regulator is only important once the batteries get to full charge, which will only happen if the boat is left unused for a period with the generator running. If the batteries are being used which yours are then you are highly unlikely to reach this state.
