I have to buy a new phone. One that dosent cost so much that to loose it overboard would mean a second morgage to replace.
Each contry needs another SIM card not pay roaming. So no free with contract phone.
Looking and looking found an Erricson K600i a new 3G phone with very bad sound bad phone the V600i has better buttons costs £20 more then basic 600i which costs £150 to buy.
Next the Nokia 6230 seemed alright(£100) but like all Nokias cheapend to far the Bluetooths only that in name! It dosent actualy work the cameras minimal and the screen 128 pixels only almost unreadable!!! Amazing Standardisation????
Now ive found the Samsung D500 which has been on the market for years?? and replaced by the D800, but has 80megs memory 1.3 meg camera a BT that works!! IR and its small with a battery that lasts for days. (£150)
Whats wrong with it???
The nokia 6230 costs £100
The Sony erricson K600i and Samsung D500 cost £150 the first is a very medioka 3G with 2 hour battery life in 3G configeration (costs the same per meg as GPRS so costs more as it uses more mega more quickly!!)
The Samsung D50 is just 2G with GPRS etc.
Which should i buy??
Is there anyway to find out if the Bluetooth provided by the phone will be compatable with my super Dell X30 which having seen and used HP Palm of the same age is by far the best on the market.
(Palm has now made a model with mini HHD wi-lan and BT for only £280!!!!!!! Dell have also brought out a new model but for the moment Palm are winning on the PDA front!)
Im waiting another year as my Dell an X30 withe wi-fi BT and 624 processor is still very very current!!
But which phone provides a BT connection that works with modern equipment??Or dose nokia just prevent us useing add ons? or is it just a cheapskate phone??
Advise please on Bluetooth that i can use my PDA with my phone as a GPRS modem??
Is there anyone that knows about these things??
