I need your help as I cant decide what to blow my cash on. I am going to treat myself to a new toy, but cant decide which....

.....Raymarine 435 colour plotter, with huge novelty/gadget appeal. Or Webasto heating for boat so I can be warm and toasty when out and about in the next few months- not so much novelty value, but still gadgety.

I want both, but only have enough cash for one- help please!!

Absolutely definitely the heating. Motor boating is not about being uncomfortable, leave that to the rag/stickie lot

speaking as a raggie that has both a plotter and eberspacher heater! The one you choose should be dependant on your boating style. If you can afford the fuel to go out reasonably frequently (and I have assumed you are diesel engined cause otherwise the webasto would be a bit difficult), then my recommend would be the plotter cause you will use it everytime you go out!. (However, I much prefer the navman and if you can fit it the 5600 is best). If you habitually perch on top of the pile of beer cans cause the boat doesnt move, but you like to be there at this time of the year and you dont have shore power so cant use a fan heater, then go for some type of heating.

Why???

I have a PETROL boat and am having an Eberspacher fitted in a couple of weeks.
Not difficult at all.

Cheers.

Alistair..
