Hi All

When on anchor I tend to run a generator part of the time, I am all electric on boat so if oven or hobs needed so generator comes on (4.5KW) otherwise we are on Batteries 400 AH for fridge freezer and lights music etc

My question if i add a renewable energy provider which will be most efficient, wind is dependent on wind but could deliver around the clock, tidal is about 2 knots and will be there 60-70 % of time,

Which should i invest in or shall i get all 3 and be completely independent?

Any makes or models you recommend from experience?

thanks in advance

IFAIK Solar gives the best bang for your buck.

I have just purchased 400W of Solar Panels, MPPT Controller, all wiring and connectors, deck glands, fuses etc for less than £500.

To be fitted soon.

I used Craig Solar. Good reports from users. Not the cheapest, but far from the most expensive.

Had a big wind genny, bloody noisy!
