Recently had my third Garmin GPS 65 fail on me. Fair do's, these are pretty old machines now. But I need something that will really replace it rather than just scouring eBay (again!) for yet another second hand one.
So can anyone recommend a modern GPS that:
1. Can be panel-mounted
2. Runs off a 12v supply (by design I mean - no soldering required!)
3. Has NMEA 183 output to connect to a laptop-based plotter app via RS232 serial
4. Isn't too big (ideally not more than 4 or 5 inches square)
??
So far I have not found this elusive beast!
