I'm currently making 3 new cockpit locker lids from teak and am not sure what glue to use. I tend to use Balcotan or similar for most things - would this be suitable? Would epoxy be better?
Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.

I've got both but use Balcotan for most woody jobs cos it's more convenient, less wasteful and has the performance. Needs cramping though as foaming effect weakens glueline and separates bits. Would use epoxy if more gap filling required but my work is always cabinet quality.........

You probably know ... but with teak ...

Remember to brush a liberal coat of acetone or similar thinner on any surfaces about to be glued and wipe it off quickly with a clean cloth to remove the oils from the surface of the teak.
