Need a fuse type and holder for protecting the wire which leads to the main switchboard from the battery switch?

What's the best type to use, something with M6 or M10 terminal posts would be good and where can I get them please?

Thanks

Mike

Modern cars often have a main fuse inb the 50 amp range that are actually bolted onto the cable terminals. These should be ideal for your purpose and obviously a very good connection not having any additional pressure contacts.
For the current you want very low resistance and reliability are vital so I would avoid the usual glass fuses in a holder where spring contacts hold it in. You are not likely to need to change this main fuse but reliability and low resistance is vital. olewill

I would never recommend the use of a single action fuse on a boat. What happens if you have a problem and you blow a fuse - how many spares would you use before you found the problem? I would recommend you use a current trip device.
