Dont really know where to post this. Not a Mobo, or a scutbut raggie. Not for the PBO fiddlers and not really a liveaboard either cos the office comes too...
BUT.....no engines to break down or service, self cleaning windows, RCD CatD, GRP quick polish maintenance every 5 years, even says it meets the Boat Safety Scheme requirements!!!!!
Too good to be true really......

bet tcm will have a view on this bit tho.... [ QUOTE ]
The Optimum hull can be treated with copper based paint or copper sheeting to prevent biological growth Copper based systems give the hull an extremely long life and remove the need for annual application of anti-fouling and the associated environmental cost.

Looks idyllic but....what happens when deep into a typing/work sesh on the 'puter with mug of something besaide, and some smart-arse moboer whizzes past and the wash spills coffee/tea all over the keyboard? Or similar situation ...entertaining corporate clients, drinks in hand and wash from another boat sends 'em staggering round the conference room?

Oh thats not a problem....theyve got that covered.....

The stability of the Optimum 60 is provided by the reinforced concrete layer that accounts for 25 tonnes of the 45 tonne all up weight. Water movement - and people movement on board - cause a minimal movement.

another issue is how, without engines, are you supposed to get the thing to the pumpout dock to empty the holding tanks. Bit expensive hiring a tug every few days to go empty them

No probs....they've thought of that too....

The vessels are supplied with standard marine cleats and can be moored either stern to or alongside to suit the location. All available services can then be connected to the boat including mains water, power, gas, sewerage and telephone including broadband. The mains sewerage system can be fully automated removing any need to move the vessel for pumping out or adjusting any valves, again making for a hassle free living or working environment.

hm, i bet will go down a bundle on the thames, very smart, well, practical anyway.

The copper wd be fine at displaceemnt speeds - it's just the belting along at planing speeds that won't (or didn't) work...
