Which discs for Angle Grinder to clean prop

I also use brick cleaner, purchased from Toolstation, following the advice on here.
This thread has got me wondering though, whether Coca Cola would be a viable alternative. Seems effective on brass and copper.
Hydrochloric acid is remarkably cheap and very effective. The active ingredient in Coca Cola is phosphoric acid but the concentration of it is minute. You can buy phosphoric acid quite easily, it is quite effective in dissolving marine scale, and almost certainly cheaper than Coca Cola, weight for weight.

phosphoric acid is the active ingredient in most rust converters and is easy available in 5 lit container where i live.

phosphoric acid was also used as a pre prep before painting car bodies when I was in the UK.

Checked the concentration in my pool acid and it is 30% hydrochloric acid

We don't have the H & S regulations you have in the UK and EU

Yesterday I cleaned the prop and replaced the anodes. Day started at Toolstation asking for brick cleaner, I was informed that the law had changed that day and it was not possible to buy acid over the counter. So I went off with my angle grinder and Bosch masonry cleaning pads. Prop cleaned and polished in 5 mins.sail drive anode changed ( not much left) , prop anode changed, hull anode has had several years life so thought best to change.. retaining bolt on one end snapped and inside corroded solid , so angle grinder with a proper grinding disc and drill came into action. Boats always throw something at you!

If nothing is happening with the hull anode maybe it is not necessary. Usually boats with saildrives don't have hull anodes as anything that needs protecting has its own anode. Do you know what it is connected to? Maybe it is just a ground for the 240v system which would explain why little is happening.

I think it’s just a ground for the mains.
