I'm thinking of upgrading my boat's old trailing log and seafarer depth sounder with a little bidata unit but I'm hoping to reuse the old 150kHz seafarer depth transducers of which there are two mounted either side of the keel on wooden fairing blocks with a tilt switch to change over when you tack! Seems a shame to fiddle around replacing them. NASA clipper units seem to work with the old depth transducers but they don't do a bronze speed transducer - can anyone recommend a speed transducer for a NASA unit - or even another unit? Echopilot units seem to match just about any transducers you can find, but they are a bit pricey! Raymarine have been recommended to me but their transducers seem to be 200kHz and therefore not compatible.
