Which courtesy flag for Orkney?

I'm a Norwegian sailing to Orkney in a couple of days. Can anyone tell me which is the correct courtesy flag? Is it the Union Jack, the Scottish or the Orkney cross? (very much resembles the Norwegian flag, by the way).

The Red Ensign at the starboard crosstrees. You could consider the Scottish Saltire below it and the Orkneys Cross below that. Anything else could lead to a keel-hauling

The Red Ensign is the correct courtesy flag for the UK, the Union Flag is incorrect.

I suggest flying the Red Ensign, then I would fly the Orkney Cross below it in recognition of Orkney's special identity.

Hi skallagrimsson, I live here in kirkwall orkney, are you coming in to kirkwall? if you are i hope to meet you my boat is in the marina at kirkwall.

as for the right flag anything blue with the white cross, /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif, the orkney flag has been changed from the yellow with red cross to another
