Which boat?

I'm looking for a twin engined motor boat , 30' to 40' with prop shafts, up to £100,000. I quite fancy a fly bridge and I don't want an open boat. As an ex raggie my knowledge is very limited, particularly as to which boats have prop drives.
Can anyone suggest suitable boats? Thanks.

Old Sealine 360's were on shafts well within your budget. Also Sealine S43 and some S42's are on shafts. Shafts are 1/3 rd less economic fuel wise but maintenance wise a lot less fuss and expense.
I'm a Sealine fan, they are well made and designed with lots of family space for their size. Other British made boats are excellent too but can't comment on what has shafts.

If you shop hard you should do better than a 360.

I reckon £100k would get you the later F37 which is an evolution of the 360 but much more modern feeling.
Other options would be a Fairlibe Phantom 38, Jeanneau prestige 36, princess 38

F37 Good call. Might just scrap a yr 2000 model if you're lucky

Having come from sail like yourself,in my opinion you need to consider what hull type.
The boats mentioned are all planning hulls nice boats but your other option is a semi displacement hull like
Broom Hardy Nelson are examples.
What type of motor boating do you plan?

Thanks for the replies. My present boat, a Merry Fisher 805 is fine accommodation wise for me ,wife and dog. A second engine would be reassuring and is the main reason for change: I have a 10hp long shaft OB but it only manages 5 knots in calm water. We do coastal cruising and occasionally cross the channel. 30 knots would be nice for channel crossing in calm seas but is not all that important.

In reality 30knts is likely to be you absolute top end with these boats.

Your realistic cruise especially for a cross channel is much more likely to be mid 20's
