We are currently trying to sell a house!!??!, and whan it finally sells (if ever!!) we will be in the market for one of the following boats on the shortlist below, depending on final price, availability, equipment etc etc.

We are looking for a bilge keel (un-trendy I know, but we will be on the east coast, and want to dry out occaisionally!)

Moody 36
Moody 35
Legend 36

Does anybody have any idea where we can charter any of said boats, as we would like to spend a week on each (or as long as possible) to get the feel, etc of each.

I don't feel a half day test-sail is ample!

Ideas/contacts please!

Try owner website and offer to pay for someone to take you out for a weekend on what you are interested in. Alternative is arrange insurance on a boat for sale and offer to pay a suitable charter fee for a weekends trial (owner invited?)

Clearly the most expensive, but propbably for good reason, would be the Moody 36 and there's one available for charter on the Clyde, see. www.clydewestcoastcruising.com but figure it's propably a fin, but at least it would give you an idea of living aboard, sail plan etc.

Don't forget, if you don't like it, you can always sell it on. So don't pay too much. In any event you'll probably change your mind as to what is important in a boat.
