Na ... too far West ...

the CP is north orientated and I'm sailing towards a port channel marker - from another one ...

Was a nice sail - only my second time single handing this one...

How did you get on single handed Fireball? I was on my todd on Sat cracking sail to the Nab. Hardly anyone about and a helicopter on a training exercise for entertainment. Slightly marred by a major mechanical failure approaching Bembridge. I had to turn and run back for Chichester at 6 knots. Good going for my girl.

You managed to get out the harbour then - I didn't have so much time /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif ...

It was fine - only had to do 1 short tack but there were few other boats around, otherwise I'd've stuck on the donka for that bit. The Raymarine TP would've worked better if I'd put a turn in the Genoa - I had to assist it several times during the gusts - but then she generally wants a reef in around 14 knots ... but full sail is so much more fun!

I went home on Saturday night on the basis of that forecast - woke up Sunday to sunshine and no wind. Had a great walk in the Chilterns but would have rather been sailing.
How can they get it so wrong?
