WHERES MY BOAT NOW? would it be a good idea to add a section to the PBO site whereby people could trace the whereabouts of craft they have previously owned, maybe this is available somewhere else on the net I don’t know, perhaps someone could advise me. I realise boat names may change but not withstanding this is it not possible that some sort of search engine could be set up?

What a great idea! Sort of Friends Reunited (made a fortune for someone!) Would it not eventually take the form of a database of boats, owners and current location?

Great idea. I'd love to know where Norseman is - a Maurice Griffiths one-off boat from the 50s with centre cockpit, a bowsprit, three keels and a vertical tiller.

Last seen in Littlehampton in '86.

They don't make them like that any more.

'SCHERZO - Bermuda rigged 1/4 tonner - she was an old girl in the '70's but fondly remembered - Where is she now?'

With the size of your mooring ropes it will be still on the pontoon where you left it tony /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Seriously though ,good idea re the boat database .

Great idea

It was through this forum that I found Barry Winnet was the previous owner to the guy I purchased of my Birchwood 25 from. Infact the Cockpit table and step down into the Cain were made by Barry and are still in use some 15 years or so later. Barry also sent me some pictures of the boat when he owned her and has been great at giving me advice. I will post the pics on Monday that Barry sent (think he may look at little older now lol) if he doesn't mind. Barry?
