I think he lives in Goa which is on the west side of India so maybe he avoided the tsunami?

Dave
am fine mate ...nice of you to think of me
it was really not so bad on the west coast .....
but on the day the tide was going just nuts ....high to low and back to high in less than 5 minutes...all thru the night
imagine that when you are on a mooring ...turnimg like a clock hand
had to send the boat out and tie up to on of our bulkers at the 20 meter contour
all else well
sad abt the east coast ..they werent so lucky

Re: Where\'s BIGMOOSE?

Glad to hear all is ok with you Bigmoose (I posted you a hello on an earlier Tsunami thread, it's dropped off the bottom now). I guessed you would be sheltered being on W Coast but wasn't sure how far the effects would extend West/North. What has happened elsewhere is truly awful.

Are you at LIBS?

Re: Aha - here you are!

on the day we had gone out to the northern most beach (morjim...if anyone has a chance to go there you wont be dissappointed)with my boat, a friends gulf craft 47,8 jetskis and 2 supports ribs
we anchored out in abt 6 mtr of water and used the jet skis to go on to shore for a few cold ones
sitting on the beach we noticed how far the water suddenly receeded from where the skis where left ...the only thought then was ...F@#k me have to drag them back to the water
then suddenly they where floating...its was rather scary
we made our way back to the boats heaved anchor to come back to our mooring
on reaching our mooring it was looking rather odd ..the mooring was noticebly closure to the beach
we held out in 8 mts of water and sent the ribs and skis to survey before we went in to the bay
the tide and risen again as the ribs got to the mooring and we came in and teid up

since the tide was in and out evert 5 mts and i showed only .8 below keel i didnt want to take any risk of her touching the bottom...so we moved back out and tied to one of our bulkers who was achored at the 20 mtr line

that day we had lowest and highest tidal diff ever recorded
many passenger launches and fishing trawlers got damaged when the tide rose to jetty level

all is calm now

will be at the london show from tuesday
anybody want anything at sunseeker will be pleased to be of assistance
