Where's best place to get new teak decks?

Where\'s best place to get new teak decks?

A yard near Swanwick just quoted in the order of £35K for new decks. In the past I've heard of Malta and Turkey being good value - anyone with any experience of this?

No personal experience but I do remember someone on here singing the praises of Turkey in this respect last year.

Jammey As the owner of a large family building and carpentry company do you not think you could under take the work your self, I own and run a joinery shop and get asked to make many different pieces from all types of hard wood we usually mimic many different cuts and joints, the cost of the materiels and manufacture is only about a third of the cost of fixing so if you felt you could under take this project yourself you could make a large saving,if you decide to have ago check out sika`s web page they do different rubber sealents that were made for the wooden boat industry and are very easy to use all the best Tom

On decks there's a chap up here who calls himself Heather Marine in Northwich who specialises in teak decks. Don't worry about him being up here he works anywhere and his work of the highest quality, I honestly don't know about his prices. See the PM as well.

last year i visited finike marina in se turkey and saw a good newdeck job done in a 40 ft.
the carpenter works for the marina and to my question about price the answer was : about 10000 usd for a 35 ft and takes about a month.
