Not the Gower either, I'm afraid. I must have passed this point maybe hundreds of times over the years, and I didn't recognise it this particular day!
 
OK, It's on the Wales side. I tried to find another pic of the place, but without the fog, it's too easy.......:D
 
Closest yet, but still not right. I can see I'm going to have to put my other picture up...........

It's one of the reasons I don't like fog. It doesn't matter how many times I've seen something, how many times I've been somewhere, when I see it in the fog, it never looks like a place I know........

I'm assuming the lighthouse was sounding twice every minute - which would have helped! Fog is horrible stuff - everything sounds different and distances are difficult to judge.

Yes, the fog horn was plain, and I went through broad sound and stayed close to the West point of skomer to avoid shipping, but still not nice. I also plot my position from GPS to paper chart, just in case......
