Where to stay downstream...?

Home is Windsor, off to St kats in a week. Normally do Windsor to tedders and overnight for the dash to London the next day. This time we're thinking of taking two days to get to the tideway - where should we spend the afternoon / evening of day one? Thinking maybe Kingston or Hampton court..? Any other suggestions?

The lawn just after Shepperton is nice . Rather than take the lock cut just follow the river to port .
After Sunbury lock you can turn back into the weir stream to another lawn .
After that i dont think there is much unless you are willing to nudge the bow into the bank and get your feet wet in the morning ( i find those moorings the best )

Hampton court is free, attractive and there's plenty to do!

Well worth a punt, and 45 mins from Tedders.
