May be looking for a berth or mooring on IoW, as a resident of the Island.
Anywhere without a 88 year waiting list or £10k a year plus winter storage charge?

Another SO35 Lift keel on the Island?
2 is a crowd!
Seriously though - try Yar Marine. A little yard South of the bridge in Yarmouth. We could really confuse them with 2 such rare examples - the lift keel really confused everone here down South.
You'd feel really at home though - you can see and smell the mud.
:D:D:D

Oh yes - I know of quite a number of peeps that have followed 'larger' boats in because they must draw more than them .... sounds like fun ... mud baiting ... :)

Not sure what Bembridge is like for waiting lists but you've got the right draft for the harbour entrance! Costs are, erm, modest by Solent standards but probably more than you're used to paying for Mudbath-on-Sea :) Have a look here.

Might also be worth trying Folly Reach (South of Cowes on the River Medina). Council moorings, iirc, which usually means a good deal (the Visitor rates are certainly modest). Don't know what the waiting lists are like but they may not be as bad as you might think. Generally the IOW is cheaper than the Mainland side because everyone wants to drive down to their boat from the Smoke at the weekend, without having to get on the Ferry to reach their boat.....

hee hee... indeed he is... especially when racing.....

I did hint to the Chump that I might not need as much water as he was thinking. I was paralle to the bank only 6ft off, and he still tried to get an overlap on the inside. Oh well.

At a pinch you could try the Harbourmaster at Ryde for a pontoon berth, again it does get muddy and in one part of the harbour quite smelly, tidal of course so entry and departure will need to be planned. Although a 'channel'to the entrance is buoyed there is no actual channel, but most probably a more constant sandy bottom being the start of Ryde Sands.

Do you mind drying out? and only having access three hours either side of HW. No elec or water and you would need boards and lots of fenders as it is against a old pontoon but approx. £75 a month and in Cowes. If so try UKSA (www.uksa.org) they have some mud berths. kept my boat there a few years ago.

We are able to dry out, but prefer not to in gloopy mud, as the mud sticks to the upper face of the wing keel, and slows us down for 10 miles.

Hi Jim, Iam in bridgemarsh Colvic Countess Lazy Daze. I purchased this boat on the IOW
it was based in Ryde marina which is council owned and not far from the ferry at Fishborne
about 20mins.not sure regarding access but could be worth a call.

you could get a mooring at Newport.... you'd be just down the road from Pankhurst prison.... on second thoughts don't think I'd leave a nice boat like yours down there :D you might find half of it gone on your next visit. yarmouth is a good bet i think harold hayles has some moorings in the yar.
