Where's the best place to leave a 12m sailing yacht in the Ria de Vigo Spain, for a few weeks in August? Just need shore power and good value for money.

San Adrian in the lagoon at the head of Ria de Vigo is very friendly and welcoming and the best value you will find. It is very well sheltered (we sat out a 50kt wind in there with little fuss).
We paid 190euro for a month in high season last year (up to 12m bracket).
There are few facilities here - small supermarket a 10 minute walk away, a few bars/restaurants plus the very expensive restaurant in the marina.
You can get buses from outside the marina to Moana and Pontevedra. Taxi to Vigo or bus to Moana and water taxi.
RCN Vigo is not very expensive compared to the marinas we left Calypso in for our one month breaks in the previous two years of our trip in Plymouth and Pornichet - it is more convenient for travel but a swell does work in.

Several years since we cruised that area (I think 2012-2014). Marina DavilaSport was very good but I seem to remember the marina at Moaña being very cheap. Moaña is on the Northern side but the there's a regular and cheap ferry leaving next to the marina. The price difference was substantial even though it was a quick trip to the town centre. I think that marina had very limited space. We only used it a couple of times and usually anchored in the bay instead and visited Moaña itself. Probably more convenient than San Adrian if you could get a space.

Yep. Researched this last year and St Adrian was my 1st choice. As Pavalijo says, it is easier , relatively, to travel by public transport to Pontevedra than Vigo. Not somewhere I'd choose to live aboard, Moaña is a better prospect for not much more money, but very well sheltered and a good price.

We went for San Adrian. Ditto Pavalijo's comments. All the rest were v. expensive, including Moana
Not expensive compared to over 800 euro for 4 weeks at Pornichet where in our absence they towed us onto a hammerhead and where a pal told us he was rafted 3 outside us and our best mooring lines were stolen.
Had a row with the director and withheld a week’s fee which part covered replacement lines.
Yolanda at St Adrian is lovely and we felt at home there.

A pity about Moaña, I thought it was the cheapest when we cruised that area 2012-2014. We did only use it a couple of times but it was very convenient for Vigo with a cheap ferry. Moaña was also quite a nice place to visit and more interesting than San Adrian.

We liked Moana - the sea front area, the market, the marina and the great walk up a river with numerous old water mills. We went back a few times. But if leaving a boat to go home then San Adrian is great.
