Hi All,
Haven't posted on this forum for a while, I'm planning on keeping my yacht (Dufour 1800) in Portsmouth Harbour over the summer.
It's on a trailer and although not huge (25ft) has a 5ft draft. I've got a decent 4x4 towcar and would like to use one of the public slips.
I've never launched from any of them in Portsmouth before and wondered if anyone else has launched a similar sized boat? I'm after recommendations for the most suitable ones? Ideally what I'm after is somewhere where I can rig the mast etc., park the car easily and importantly have a steep enough slip to get the boat afloat without swamping the car!
I've looked on the boat launch website but cant really find the info I'm looking for. My first thought was Hardway, but not sure about the slope?
Any help would be appreciated, I'm by no means an expert when it comes to launching a boat so could do with some advice!
