where to go next week??

Wasn't sure if I should put this in the lounge, but given its kind've boaty I've opted for here!

So we're off on hols from next Thursday for a week but got nothing planned or booked, I'm trying to decide whether to stick around in the UK (if the weathers going to stay nice) or head off somewhere in the med.

So firstly has anyone got any views on the weather? is it going to stay lovely and sunny for the next couple of weeks or will the start of my holiday be the signal for the rain, cloud and wind??

Secondly any suggestions UK/abroad, will be looking for cheap and cheerful due to a bombshell from work but ideally something near the sea, where we can do something water based without costing a fortune, thinking either a spot of dingy sailing or a small motorboat, the latter I suspect will be non starter due to cost but thought I'd ask!

For me the obvious place in the UK is Falmouth, but having been going there most of my childhood and a fair number of years as an adult it would be nice to have an idea of somewhere else to try with similar facilities (that isn't the solent!!)

Life is so much easier with a boat.. holiday decisions are easy! Go to boat and go somewhere or nowhere

5 day forecast looks good. But it can't last forever. Not sure from your thread, but you sound boatless?

Boatless or not, Devon is always a good bet. My own favorite is North Devon, Croyde etc. Can always rent a kayak if funds are low. Generally something interesting to do.

Hope you have a good rest. Lots of bombshells from work around at the moment, so it is a difficult time.
