Where to camp a dilemma for miniskip

Hiya everyone as some regulars may know I havent been about for a while hence no big adventures !! I have been ill but thats another story.

Miniskip and some of his chums want to go camping in about a week but are having trouble finding where that will let them in they are 16 years old and everyone we speak to say they must have an 18 yr old with them they are looking to stay anywhere from kingston upstream Can anyone help with this ?

Desborough Island would be a good spot, no facilities, but I doubt 16 year olds are really worried about that...

Errm just a heads up in that respect, it's known as a gay meeting venue! I'm trying to organise a scout river trip and some friends living opposite warned me off!

Whats wrong with Laylem campsite . I used to camp there from 13 upwards . Or have they changed the rules ?

Is Penton Island too far away? My son (15yrs) has stayed there half a dozen times and the police were only called once!

If there are no more than say 3 hike tents and they are _very_ discrete, and clear up properly afterwards, I'm sure John the lockie won't mind.
