The Yamaha 70 ob on our Novurania tender was delivered (back in 2014) with a standard black painted stainless steel prop,
it was delivered with the 16 x 11 pitch, but I would like to order a spare with lower pitch,
our regular online suppliers in Netherland appear not to have the stainless steel model, they stock the allum equivalent.
I quite like that SS prop, any good source in UK ?

I also need quite a list of Yamaha spares for the yearly maintenance (filters, anodes, ...)
where to buy ?

standard black painted stainless steel prop
R U sure it isn't an alu ptop, B?
I can't recall to have ever seen a painted s/steel prop.

Anyway, as you might have noticed, the marina in CF has plenty of small rental boats with the same o/b, and I wouldn't be surprised if they had one of the props you're looking for on hand.
And if not, pretty sure they can source it for you.

Now, whether they can sell it for the lowest online price you can find, I have no idea.
But I can ask FoC, if you wish... :D

yes can see the prop when you walk to your boat ;-)
a lot of the black paint has vanished after running approx 150hrs iirc

wel you can hear around if they know the model
if I can buy it there hasslefree than I don't care about the best price.

The black (but rarely stays on) painted, rough finished SS props are quite common over here with Yamaha OB's.

BTW, what is the new avatar pic? Got so used to the old one, being a view I had seen personally the day of the cave swim.

Not a problem B, tomorrow I'll ask them.
But are you sure that the current pitch is 11 inches? And how shorter do you want the new prop to be?
Ref. diameter, I'm a bit confused because you mentioned 14 in the thread subject and 16 in your post - which actually sounds way too large.
But aside from the fact that probably there is just one OEM diameter for the prop, it shouldn't be a problem to check it directly on your tender, if necessary...

Nope C, I don't think you've ever seen that image.
In fact, it was made by a friend of mine who, on top of being the new owner of my old lady, happens to be also a photographer.
You can find the very same pic in one of his collections - see #23 in this webpage).

Now, S liked it a lot the first time she saw it, and she thought that it would have been perfect for the new boat, also because her name fits nicely with the photo colours. Bottom line, the original is now exposed in the DP saloon, and became her official logo, sort of... :)

It's likely to be 11x14” pitch.

Ah yes of course, S is a huge fan of contemporary art, it makes sense.

I'm swapping my pitches from the diameters I guess,
I've noted some number long ago, but apparently not accurate enough,
I've find now two sources in NL, and also MapisM found a source in the marina,
as MapisM could check himself, its indeed a black painted SS prop,
Black paint came off and the bare metal surface suffers a bit of brown corrosion collor, (no pitting iirc),
I prefer to stick with this model, because then I know exactly where I start from (well I hope I can find out)
and want to get exactly "one" step less pitch

thanks for that,
many many years ago, I had a prop from a 23ft boat repaired at SD, so I'm a customer there,
I'm sure they deliver perfect quality props, but I'm afraid they are oem,
and in order to get the performance I want, compared to what I have now, I prefer to stick with the original Yamaha part.

by the way, I'm a lifetime Yamaha fan, due to my business, pro sound... ;-)

You could forget the paint Bart and simply polish it.

4 1/2" angle grinder with a Velcro backing pad and surface conditioning discs (sometimes called Scotchbrite discs) and polish away, lovely finish and a couple of coats of car polish keeps them looking good.
