Good Evening

I want to buy some new backstays for my alacrity 19 project, (getting closer and closer to launch day), The existing backstays are 8m in length, when i order new ones do I need to just get 8m or should I calculate for stretch?

Second question is wheres best/cheapest to buy 2 x 8m 5mm backstays, both spliced/eyed at each end? What should I be expecting to pay? Do they need to be stainless?

Thank You all

Lets see if this works, Jimmy Green has a rig builder on it, I have done it for you £49.12.

My records show that the wires are 4mm and 1x19, they would be best in stainless, swage eyes are better then a talerite eye as long as you can fit the clevis pin in the swaged eye, the wire in a swage is not bent round a thimble, drop me a PM if you would like a quote. (If your wires are 5mm then best to stay with that size but this is large for a 19' boat).
