Hello everyone,
To protect the stem of my boat from damage caused by nudging the pontoon when berthing I am planning to fit a polished stainless strip extending from the bow fitting down to the waterline. I need to be able to find a supplier who would sell me a 1 metre strip about 20mm wide and 2-3mm thick.
Ideally with a slight curvature across the width. My boat stem
is straight. Any addresses, telephone numbers and prices would be appreciated to source this item. Many thanks.

If this is the same rubbing strake used on most if not all production boats (Princess, Sunseeker etc.) then you can buy that off the shelf but you buy it straight and bend it yourself of course. I saw it at the SIBS, but can't for the life of me remember who sold it. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Fendering on the pontoon would be a better solution IMHO. Dented and bent stainless steel strip on the bow wont look too pretty after a couple of misjudged berthings.

If the marina wont fit proper stuff cut up and nail an old trye on there!
