hi all

I have seen some boats with a small stainless type flag pole in the middle if the guard rails on the bow where I have drawn in the picture below

can anyone put a link up where I can buy one of these and a small red ensign flag to go with it

thanks

EDIT now know I cant fly red ensign on the bow :o

ps I really don't like the new photobucket and I really don't like the way the forum now puts your pics in these thumbnails what was wrong with the old way of clicking the link on photobucket and adding pics straight onto the forum much better imho

I got the one from Force 4 but didn't like the quality so bought one of these http://www.baselinemarine.com/shopexd.asp?id=13504 from Baseline Marine and one of their little flag poles to go in it, much more robust and substantial. The rail fitting was very snug on he T34 pull pit rail.

Can you remember which flag pole fitted the socket? The 3/4 or 7/8?
They're on this page. http://www.baselinemarine.com/shopd...xact=&atleast=&without=&cprice=&searchfields=

yes I must admit I do like that will be ordering one of those, and one of these to go with it http://www.baselinemarine.com/shopexd.asp?id=4627 also what size flag would I need for that would 18" x 9" be ok

You sure about this? The cleat is fugly and tapered would look much more elegant on the bow, esp if you had a socket welded on

Also, you cannot sensibly/correctly wear an ensign on the bow. Has to be near the stern. Burgee etc is fine on the bow

The new p'bucket works fine once you figure out how. It's not obvious, but worth figuring out. If you set your settings correctly it gives you the

thought about getting one of these http://www.sealineforum.co/Sealine_Forum_Burgee/p969187_4412493.aspx as I own a sealine and am a member of the sealine forum

still got too work out which pole to buy though, jfm looked at your link but I think that is too big for a small flag on the bow of a 37ft boat so need to keep looking at my options

also I can still get the IMG code but when I copy and paste it in the url link box it comes up with invalid entry  so I have to load pics straight from my laptop now since photobucket changed its layout

Shawn, I have the Force 4 pole for the forum burgee. It is ok, but does not like strong winds! Mine buckled, so I take the burgee off if really strong winds forecast.

I meant it as base stock. You'd have to shorten it and get a s/s guy to make a socket etc. Point is that tapered looks smarter at the bow and that is a cheap length of tapered tube as a starter. I accept that it isnt a plug and play solution though!

You must be doing something wrong. There's nothing wrong with p'bucket now. It definitely works if you set up your settings to give you the correct code in between the

I think it must be my settings on here jfm as it still works fine when I post pics on the sealine forum with the IMG code

Are you telling me that the burgee above is a sealine burgee and not a forum design

Rest assure Terry, it's a YBW forum burgee, in fact my third, because of their exclusivity one was pinched:eek: and they do take a bashing if you leave them up all the time! now in these days of austerity I take it down when not on board to make it last longer:D
