Where to buy 25mm crimp terminals in Southampton?

I've very nearly finished Ariam's high-tech new battery system - only nearly, because I miscounted the various sizes of terminals I needed for the job. I am short five off M6 25mm² terminals, three off M6 10mm², and one M12 25mm² (but I have a slack handful of M8 25mm² and M10 35mm² left over :ambivalence:).

I have some on order from my original online supplier, but I'm after a fallback in case they don't turn up on time - I'm supposed to be taking the boat out for a shakedown cruise this weekend. Any suggestions for a physical stockist in Southampton or nearby? Open early evenings and/or Saturday mornings a bonus, though probably not essential.

(To be clear, I'm talking about terminals like these:

used with a hydraulic crimper, not the small red/blue/yellow ones.)

Thanks,

Pete

Chandlery Barge at Burlsedon sell them. Various sizes. Open on a Saturday. 80p/85p each.
YouBoat and Arthurs in Gosport also have a good range and open on a Saturday.
Forget Force 4.

(I bought 4 last weekend from the Chandlery Barge to remake the windlass cables.)

Recommend them as well, far more amusing than the others you've been given - you'll need to give yourself plenty of time to firtle as it's a treasure-house of boaty bits.

Thanks guys - I know both of those places but it hadn't occurred to me that either would sell them. I think of the chandlery barge as a place for strange bronze fittings and heaps of old portholes, and TLC mostly does stuff for the 240v sparkie.

TLC is just down the road from the boat and open on Saturday mornings, so that's ideal.

Thanks.

Errrm, actually...

According to their website, TLC don't have most of the sizes I need. No M6 25mm and no M12 25mm, and those are the more important ones.

For the number you need it is probably better to buy from the closest supplier even if they charge a dollar or two more. Of course you have to keep in mind your time and vehicle running expenses: I have to keep reminding myself to keep things in perspective

I had an unbelievable experience today. Yesterday I ordered 50 s/s self tapping screws from a supplier in Sydney (3200 km away) and I received them today!!

Please tell me about your hydraulic crimper. I have to make up a few 35mm² battery cables and I want to use crimp terminals but I am not sure what sort of crimping tool to buy. There seems to be a wide range of prices and types. What would you recommend?

Still looking for any recommendations for suppliers with a full range of terminals in Southampton. I'm at work during the day and supposed to be sailing Saturday morning, so although I can take a detour on the way to work or to the boat, Bursledon is a bit further than I'd hoped for.

Cheers,

Pete
