They could put a pay turnstyle at one end - say 5p per person to use the bridge.

£340K seems a lot to me; EA should have gone to European tender at this sort of price (unless they are exempt under some old law/regulation) - I feel an FOI request coming on /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I wonder if that is Folly Bridge, Abingdon or yet another error and should be Oxford.
It is not restricted to MBM but the standard of accuracy and proof reading these days is truly appalling.

I'm reading it as Folly Bridge, in Oxford, but on the Abingdon Road.

From the picture it looks like it could be the old canal entrance on the left as you enter Abingdon going upstream. If it is this one then the Thames Path is on the other side of the river from the bridge so it makes all the EA comments look like nonsense

The bridge shown is the one on the backwater that bypasses the main Folly bridge arch in Oxford. Its round the back of the Island that Salters HQ is on, as you say its Abingdon road that crosses Folly bridge.
