Where ? sail plan for a \"She 33\" built by South Hants Marine in 1979 ?

Can anyone help ?
I have just bought one of these super boats but with a bigger rig (and extended keel).
I'd like to know what the original mast size was incl position of spreaders etc.
I am looking at the feasibility of hacking off a bit of the mast and keel to get back to the original specification.

Have you asked Selden? or one of the mast specialists as they may have the original specs available

You could contact Sparkman & Stephens yacht designers and ask for a copy of the rig plan for the SHE 33.

When I had my SHE 36 I obtained a lines drawing in this way. They were very efficient.

Thanks for that,

I have sent a request to S & S in the Staes, but no reply as yet.

My local rigger seems to be the most helpful so far.

It would be nice to have a copy of her lines and rigging plan for reference anyway so I'll persue all avenues suggested. Thanks for the replies so far.

Just seen your post about a She 33. I bought one last year (Solent area) and am trying to find out more about them and their relatives. Did you get the plans from S&S you refer to in your mail?

Hack something off mast and keel?? Crazy!!
The number of boats I've owned that. with hindsight, would have benefitted from a longer stick and/or a deeper keel. If she's stiff and carries her canvas then PLEASE stick with it for the sheer delight of better performance. Or is there a Class Racing problem?
Don't go down that path I beg you, it would be a BIG mistake.

Can't help with sail plans but the S&S Association might. I have tried to find out more about these (mine's a SHE 32) but info is scarce..
When was yours built?
