By the absence of any other boats in the area one could safely assume it ain't the solent or S. coast for sure so Scotland is a good guess but where? that is the question.

Taken from St Ninians bay looking towards Inchmarnock with Arran beyond..........another typical scene of these horrible sailing waters on the Clyde that we have to suffer!!!!!
Paul.

No, but close for the second one but still no cigar. Have another look Paul, you are not too far off. Nice pics though and not another boat in sight. Terrible the conditions we have to suffer up this way. BTW about 15 mins after taking #3 we had a good F5 on the beam - came up out of nowhere - just got the sails up again and 15 mins later not a puff.

OK then how about coming out the south end of the west Kyle looking towards Inchmarnock for the first one and the second Blindmans bay west Kyle looking at Goat fell beyond..........stick your cigar!!!!

Paul.

Carry Point

Noticed on sunday night that the light is inoperative btw. Every time we leave the mooring that is the view we get. Shameful isn't it!!!

Donald

Tooo easy. I must get more inventive and dig through all the sailing pics. I suppose I am to stick the "wee dram" as well seeing as you don't indulge in the old weed? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Is that the point that sticks out on the south of blindman's bay? - noticed the perch but no light.

Naw! the wee dram has gone for this one -

Paul, how do you like the Kintyre Express? - going over to the dark side are we?

BTW try and keep the wake down passing between D & E pontoons. I nearly spilt my dram a few weeks ago as KE departed - remember you are not driving the life boat!. - Don't think it was you on the helm that particular day though. For such a wee boat she throws up one hell of a wash even at lowish speeds. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

[/ QUOTE ]Paul, if it's any consolation, it was even worse up at Puilladobhrain. Must have been at least ten boats.

And pub was really busy too. It took at least forty seconds before we were served. I don't think yotties would put up with this down in the Solent.
