BrendanS has challenged me a couple of times (Oh well, hinted anyway /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif) to put up some "Where Is This?" photos.

So here is the first - a dreary day one and a very, very easy one to get going. ShipsWoofy knows this one too well I think, so maybe should sit in the corner quietly.

By the weather it has to be Scotland in mid-summer.

Re: Windermere

that is quite clearly Loughrigg Fell in the background, and crappy weather is also a giveaway.

Yes it always rains at Ambleside.
Not like Bowness of course which has wonderful weather.

Is that the bloody Swan with a sodding wedding disco blaring it's way down the lake?

Ok Brendan and Rob are both on the track and it is so easy for them I think they know where it is. So to help others here is a giveaway for those who have read previous posts -

Hey, you are throwing everyone off the scent Brendan on the ship name - close but is actually Seabourn Legend. Photo was taken in Jan04. On their site Seabourn use the same ship photo for all of their ships which is a bit confusing.

Another regular visitor to the same location of the same around 350 foot, high quality "motoryacht" style cruise ship is Clipper Odyssey. Have checked on her itinerary and gives Queen Charlotte Sound, but not this exact location where they normally stay a day or two at anchor.

Is also on the itinerary of a number of large cruise ships as well.

Confusing as heck - I went out of my way to check the picture on their site was same as one you had in piccie. That double checking a bit defeated if they use same pic for all their boats!

Are you completely sure? Seabourn Spirit was in the correct location in Jan 2004, while Seabourn Legend was supposed to be in Florida in Jan 2004 - according to their own website.

Whoops, have to apologise for that Brendan, was the Spirit that time as this shows if it survives the journey over the internet (magnified out of another photo of same date) /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif.

and is this the real Seabourn Legend here? I think it probably is, or maybe not. A photo I took in 1997 is of the Legend I believe and looks just like both?

Phew! I thought I was going barmy for a moment (ok, say nothing!) /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Looks like they are pretty much identical in build, apart from small details
