Don't know where it is, but it's hard to think that luck doesn't play some part in getting in there in those conditions:eek: (is it part of the YM syllabus:p)

Not a quiz but a question as I don't know. I'm missing sailing during this dark , long January so I've been searching Youtube for an unsatisfactory, virtual alternative and came across this:

Wow wow and wow...all of the clips above, the skippers have got balls, bigger one's than I have!

Em - yes. My balls would have had a scrap of headsail up - so that when the engine failed my hopes, crew and balls didn't end up dashed against the harbour wall.
Either that or my balls wouldn't have attempted it!

Crossing iffy bars is all part of the fun out here. This is us in 25kts of onshore breeze coming in as you recommend, under a scrap of headsail.
