Where is this? - memories of the summer...

One of my favourite pictures. Boat in the bay, kids are on the beach. Its hot, and we are on our way to a well known racing location - but not to race. We are not far from home, and here the picture is looking north west ish. So where is it? Technically minded people will be able to cheat, but I am sure that nobody will!

There should be a 'Scotland warning' on this type of where is it!

Us from the Solent neither get a chance to sail up there so consequently dont have a clue where these places are.

Anyway - it is good to wreak revenge after seeing exotic places like Lymington, Yarmouth, Cherbourg...

Na couldn`t possibly be Scotland, I mean there’s no rain or mist or breakers or gloom or day trippers or drowning Glaswegians, there’s no pubs or clubs or wharfs or ferries or midges. There’s no mountains or bridges or power stations.
That’s somewhere abroad that is.
Perhaps Wales.

Point taken - for me anything west of Edinburgh is the West Coast. Once I have been out to the proper West Coast I will get my terminology right!
