Where is my channel 37 / M1?

I have an old Raytheon Ray210 VHF on Coney Island and I cannot find channel 37 / M1. I have this channel on my hand-held, which has now busted, hence the reason for me asking. I use M1 to call up the water taxi at SCYC to come ashore.

I can scroll up through the channels as far as Ch 28, then it leaps up to Ch 60 and there doesn't appear to be an M1 button on the Ray210 like there was on my Silva S12.

Or am I missing something??

It's labelled "P1" on my old Seavoice set - have you a P button?

Just a thought but on some VHFs M1 appears after Ch88.

Some sets just don't have the UK-only channels. Our Icom M3A hand-held doesn't. It can be changed between US and International, but has no specific UK setting. So no M1/37a or M2.

OK - now I have two options. Try after Ch 88 and do I have a "P" button. I'll come back next week with the answer...

Some sets have it programmed in as a "Private" channel, on P1.

You may need to go to your local marine radio shop and get it programmed in.
Not familar with that set but if software driven should be cheap,if Xtals forget it.

M1 is 157.86 MHz I think. I've looked at the frequency table in the 210 user manual and can't find that frequency listed.
Maybe it will need programming.

MYC also operates on that channel - but you'd never know it!
