So this is my first post holiday where is it. Please feel free to make scientific wild assed guesses......

So it's not the light ship at Tollesbury then !!?? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Tell where you've been ? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Well, everyone is getting close, but it is a trick question as of last week...... (hint). So where is it?

Presume S Goodwin was there but no longer is?

Is it now in Dover or Ramsgate or somewhrere local?

Or perhaps underway going up the Crouch?

Water looks flat but can see no land on the horizen. Rarely see South Foreland looking so inviting.

...And therein lies the question. It has been discontinued, and replaced with a cardinal mark.
So where is it then?

The whole of the Southern North Sea looked like this for the last 2 weeks. Cost me a fortune in diesel.

Use even more diesel when going uphill (first photo). Did you try sheeting in a bit and seeing if that helped?

Saw the intention to discontinue it last year, but even now cannot find it on notice to mariners.

Is it now somewhere of navigational significance, or is it somewhere that people can just gawp and take photos of?

Ah. Never to return? Does that mean SW Goodwin now a Lanby?

Other one round there is Varne. Never seem to miss it when going across from Dover.

Based on sandettie post just recent ..... has to have something to do with that .....

Indeed, the S Goodwin is now replaced. Harwich, eh? Cunning.....
Are they going to set up another lighthouse based restaurant/YC in the Goodwin Ship? I'd join that, having raced around it for a few years...
