Taken last Saturday. Finally got a shot one of them out of the water - the lag on my digital camera is annoying.

Indeed it is. Difficult to tell how many in the pod but somewhere about 20 seems likely. Wonder what effect they have on salmon?

I bet the salmon swim quicker in these parts! Great shot by the way. Quite often used to see huge pods in the Minch at this time of the year.

Supports one of two black (plague) rat populations in the British Isles. They've been there for about a century.

As an aside............

'They' now think the plague was in fact a strain of Ebola. Black rats at the time lived only in the cities but the plague spread just as fast in rural areas, in fact at a similar speed to human travel infering people to people infection.......

Great pic tho!
