Well it was bedlam at my club today, about 100 more people working on boats than I've seen all winter.

Well I was out I the eastern Solent, a cracking sail with almost no-body else around.

We had a sail down the Orwell this afternoon, only saw 3 motorboats and no sailing boats. It was a trifle chilly though!

De-beaching my boat which was thrown up during the Valentine Day (massacre) storm. Today was perfect - tide and weatherwise.

How did it go? Hope not too much damage.

It went well, a day's digging and rolling with large metal tube on scaffold boards to get it back near tide line - anchor and lines out in all directions - then rowed line out to mooring waited for tide and pulled myself over to same, releasing everything else as they tightened.

Only damage seen so far is chipped gel-coating (thick) on bilge plate.

Seems like I was very lucky.
