Where had all the pot markers gone?

Sailed across Pennyhole bay, to Stone banks heading down the Wallet on Saturday, not a pot marker in sight (yes I know they are like that anyway). Maybe I am being slightly cynical, but how come the good ole RYA can manage to get all the pots removed for a MoBo race but are quite happy for the 8loody things to litter the channel for yachts to get snagged upon for the rest of the year?

Perhaps they compensated the legal owners to not carry out their fishing this weekend?

I think they had all relocated to just off the Deben Knolls judging by the minefield of lobster pot markers I had to navigate through on Saturday.

There were still plenty at Cork Sands and even more in the vicinity of the Stone Banks buoy.
