During our recent trip back from Malta with just the crew on board we decided that after some ten weeks of non stop boating we just could not watch the sea go past any longer. So we had a great idea, lets slow down to ten knots get the hoses out and wash the boat. So with the swimbo on the wheel, not realy any chance of crashing as we were some 100 miles from land we washed the boat. Fantastic this took us four hours and not only was the boat getting a well over due wash we were saving squiliens on the fuel bill after the wash down, bacon butties and we only had 60 miles to go to Menorca.

Ha Ha small minds but thought it may make a few of you laugh

Yes it is very likely it was us, as I know the whereabouts of nearly all the 92s built and I don't think anybody was in that part of the Med at the same time as us. We were berthed in Grand Harbour for four days. Love it there everybody speaks English and the bars and reastaurants seemed to be about half the price of Menorca and twice as good. Want to make Malta the home berth. ready for Greek islands and the dalmation coast next year lets hope.

Mine gets washed wherever she is when it is raining. Probably right now in Caernarfon. I don't take any part in the process tho.

Actually, any time I have a new crew aboard I give them a bucket & brush as we leave harbour. It gives them something to do (out of my way) and helps them get their sea legs. I can then put them on the helm for similar reasons while I set the sails & check teh course.
