Where do sailors go in winter?

We often sail in the Solent over winter and wonder why not more people enjoy some of the wonderful sailing there is to be had at this time of year.

We are a great sailing nation but only between May and September, it seems.

Some of us still go sailing, so long as its not actually raining. Nice sail yesterday off Eastbourne, not the Solent maybe, but home none the less.

I agree,keep it quiet. I am out there this weekend, nice pint in a pub in Yarmouth Sat night, what more could a sailor desire....
Loks like at least 3 from this forum will be in the Solent, best not post any comments about near misses etc on Monday!
